描述：General colour deep metallic greenish-blue, the scutellum mixed with a slight amount of brown; head brown, vertex and frons violaceous; legs pale yellow-brown; abdomen black, with metallic greenish reflections. Antennae short and broad, first segment narrow but scarcely longer than the second, third slightly longer than broad and shorter than the two preceding together; arista with the leaf-shaped portion very long, somewhat longer than the second and third segments together, the apical hair-like portion slightly shorter than half the basal. Ocellar and postvertical bristles not very short but extremely fine and indistinct; frontal bristles fine, distinct; apical half of palpi black, proboscis blackish-brown.Mesonotum shining and smooth, with scattered minute hairs; scutellum finely rugose, the median longitudinal area and apex more or less smooth. Legs. with the lower row of bristles of the anterior femora very long, all the metatarsi angularly produced at the outer side near base, the produced portion bearing’ two black spines. Wings transparent, with metallic reflections.Length of body about 5 mm., breadth about 2.5 mm.
